Extreme Robots is heading your way – Free admission for under 16s

The University of Greenwich, Faculty of Engineering and Science of the University of Greenwich, based in the heart of Medway at the Chatham Maritime Campus, is hosting it's show in 2017 for the third time.

The Engineering Departments are sponsoring this family educational event and are delighted to be able to offer FREE admission for under 16s/school children (must be accompanied by an adult) to watch the show.

This is a great opportunity to experience the thrills and spills of battling robots and to see some of the famous robots including some of the star house robots of the hit TV series. This 1 hour long show is one not to be missed. It will also be an opportunity to meet and interact with the Universities own TV star, RoboThespian.

If you wish to arrange a school trip, please book promptly to avoid disappointment, as seats are limited and we expect the Friday sessions in particular to get booked up quickly.

During the event last year, we launched a brand new design competition. All school children who attended were invited to submit design drawings for their own robots and 12 robots are currently being made..

Winning entrants now have the chance to bring their design to life at school with the support of the Engineering departments here at Medway. The university are supplying the base materials, the expertise and the use of thier state-of-the-art engineering labs.  In addition the winning teams will have regular visits from our specialist team of both academics and postgraduate students.

The teams will also be invited to participate in the 2017 performance bringing their robots to battle in the famous arena!
