the xr academy is extreme robots design facility and workshop, based in nottinghamshire, open to all roboteers and budding roboteers who wish to develop, learn, build and test their robot designs, with a view to competing.
many of the most prolific and successful heavyweight roboteers and robot builders from around the uk and europe use the xr academy for builds, re-builds, machining parts and testing under the watchful eye of our master builder john findlay.
the list of robots produced by the workshop is massive and robots from the xr academy have competed all over the globe, including john himself in the bbc series, robot wars.
